Although this product was initially designed for parents to use, it is diverse
enough to be an excellent teachers’ aid as well. We have been extremely careful
to create a product that did not exclude a single girl regardless of her
family’s moral, cultural or religious beliefs.
An educator such as you might choose to maintain a box and
check it out to girls upon request. You might also choose to share this box
with a group of girls. We ask that you please print out an order
form and give
a copy to each girl. In this way we can assure that the important information
contained in each box gets to the girl's parents. The program was designed
around family participation and parents are critical to how a girl navigates
through this transition. There is no substitute for a girl having her own heirloom
box.
We are open to any suggestions you might have on how we can
better serve your needs. In the near future we will be designing materials
specifically to be used as a school curriculum. Your feedback would help us
to provide all girls with an amazing experience as they move slowly into womanhood.
